National Education Policy (NEP) 2020

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 marks a transformative shift in the education landscape of India, aiming to create a more holistic, flexible, multidisciplinary, and learner-centered system that is aligned with the needs of the 21st century. The policy emphasizes the importance of early childhood care and education (ECCE) as the foundation of lifelong learning and development, recognizing the critical period from birth to age eight. It advocates for a play-based, activity-driven, and discovery-oriented curriculum at the foundational stage to stimulate young minds and prepare them for future academic journeys. NEP 2020 introduces a new 5+3+3+4 curricular structure, where the first five years focus on foundational learning through play, storytelling, and interactive experiences. The policy also highlights the importance of multilingualism, promoting the use of the child’s home language or mother tongue as the medium of instruction in the early years to enhance comprehension and cognitive growth. By focusing on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning, integrating life skills and values, and encouraging creativity and critical thinking, NEP 2020 envisions an education system that nurtures each child’s unique potential. At Kidzee Rayee, we align our philosophy and curriculum with the spirit of NEP 2020, ensuring that our young learners receive a strong, joyful, and meaningful start to their educational journey.
